Kidney disease kills more Americans every year than breast or prostate cancer. Most people who have it don't know. There are often no symptoms until the disease is advanced — and by then, treatment options narrow dramatically.
Every dollar raised at the NKF Golf Classic funds research, patient programs like NKF Cares and The Big Ask: The Big Give, and the Kidney Risk Campaign that's identifying at-risk Americans before it's too late.

My name is Corey Primus Sr. I'm 54, born and raised in Washington, D.C. For more than 15 years, I've worked in social services — walking with individuals and families through some of life's hardest moments. Service has always been at the center of who I am.
I've hosted concerts in front of crowds of 5,000 people without a flicker of nerves. Today is different. This is one of the most personal chapters of my life.
Kidney disease has shaped my family. I lost my mother and my best friend to kidney failure. I watched them struggle — and I never imagined that one day a doctor would tell me my own kidneys were failing.
But that's exactly what happened. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney disease. That diagnosis changed everything — made every day more precious, every relationship more meaningful, and reminded me that even those of us who spend our lives helping others sometimes need help ourselves.
I've been fortunate. My friends Josh and Danny Morgan have walked beside me — teaching me about the transplant process, answering my questions, coaching me through what often feels overwhelming. Many people facing kidney disease don't have anyone to guide them. That gap makes an already devastating journey so much harder.
Today, I'm still fighting. Still committed to my family, my work, my community. But the reality is: I need a kidney transplant. A healthy kidney would give me the chance to live longer, feel stronger, and keep serving with the same passion that has guided my life for decades.
That's why this tournament matters. It's about more than a day on the course or a fundraising goal. It raises awareness, sparks conversations, inspires generosity, and reminds us that behind every statistic is a real person, a real family, a real story.
You never know whose life your actions may touch — or save.
